The Molloy Performing Arts Club is know for the musicals they put together twice a year. This spring they chose to do the musical Catch Me If You Can based on the movie Leonardo DiCaprio was in. It is about a boy named Frank William Abagnale Jr. ,played by Jason Kloos, a senior music therapy major at Molloy. Frank pretends to be different people while being chased by Carl Hanratty, played by senior communications major, Jared Grossman. Franks character soon falls in love with Brendan Strong, played by Danielle Khoury, which is his downfall.
The show has been director by Jojo Minasi, also a communications major, and he is so excited. “Everyone is working so hard under stressful situations and I’m proud of everyone” says Minasi.
Danielle Khoury is putting her heart into her first leading role performance. Danielle was supposed to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast last Fall but due to some circumstances her opportunity has lost. “After not being able to do Beauty and the Beast I was very upset but it motivated me to try again and now I’m playing the lead in this show and I couldn’t be happier.”
