Molloy Women’s Lacrosse Heads To ECC Tournament

The Molloy Women’s Lacrosse team ended their regular season with an 11-6 record overall. In the East Coast Conference, the Lions ended with a 5-3 record, earning them a spot in the ECC Tournament.

In 2014, the Lions ended with a 5-3 record as well, earning themselves four place in the ECC. They faced LIU Post on May 1st 2014, unfortunately falling short to them with a 16-4 loss. This marked the first time in history the Molloy Women’s Lacrosse Team earned a spot in the playoffs.

In 2015, The Lions finished fourth place in the ECC with a 4-4 record. This too earning Molloy a spot in the playoffs. Where they would go on to play No.1 LIU Post yet again. The Lions faced LIU Post on April 30th 2015, falling short yet again with a score of 18-5.

This year, 2016, The Lions will face No.1 of the ECC, Dowling in the first round of the playoffs. It won’t be the first time these teams went head to head.

Just last week on April 27th, The Lions hosted Dowling on their senior day. The final score in Dowling favor as 12-8.
