Molloy College Music Spring Recitals

Molloy College’s music department is in the midst of their spring concert recitals. Every night of the spring concert features a different classification of instrument. Tonight, May 2, 2016 is the is the string studio recital. The night started of with Molloy College freshman, Michelle Severo, who performed Romanian Folk Dances on her viola. She was followed by Marissa Marinaccio, Kaitey Baker, Capri Keller, and Sylvia Foldes-Berman, who all played violin. 

Most of the students were accompanied by Suk Hee Hong on piano. All of students, however, are from the string studio of Dr. Svetla Kalcheva.  Dr. Kalcheva is an adjunct professor at Molloy College and is also a violin instructor. She received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin from the University of Missouri-Kansas CityThe spring concert recitals will be performed at the Madison Theatre which is located inside of the Public Square at Molloy College. Attendance is free.
