Taylor can help you donate to The Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Taylor Tedischi, a database coordinator at Make-A-Wish Metro NY and Western NY, talks about her job responsibilities and the types of donations that are accepted to the non-profit organization. As a database coordinator, she is in charge of all the donations that the organization receives from companies, sponsors, and ordinary civilians. She also talks about some of the external events that Make-A-Wish hosts throughout the year to raise even more money, such as Walk for Wishes, A Toast to Wishes, Wine n’ Wishes, and An Evening of Wishes Gala. She also talks about how one can donate directly to the Metro NY and Western NY chapter directly, or how one can donate to the national chapter. Taylor makes it clear that either ways, the money goes directly to the kids. Taylor has been involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for over two years now, starting out simply as a college intern and created a full-time job out of the experience upon her graduation from Farmingdale State College. “Make-A-Wish granted my cousin a wish about 12 years ago. He wished to go to Disney World. Unfortunately he passed away, since childhood cancer did not have the treatments that it does now. Luckily, I am able to work at this organization and be involved in the delivery of wishes to kids. I am so thankful for this organization and what the impact of a wish gave to my cousin and his family.”
