Daniel Goldsmith, an audience member from Syosset who was there with his girlfriend, father, and grandmother, had this to say, “Since there was no talking you needed to know the plot beforehand, though this was a spectacular performance of a classic tale which is known to multiple generations. My favorite character was the Clock.”

The Beloved Circus is Soon to be Officially Out of this World Forever

UnknownNewsday revealed, that the famous Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is finally closing down forever after 146 years of production. The company is apparently going out of business.

Elephants acts for years have been the primary attraction for the circus; however, because of the public and animal rights groups’ outcries and complains, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey had discontinued the usage of any elephant in their productions.

The producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Kenneth Feld confirmed this information with the press, “Ringling Bros. ticket sales have been declining, but following the transition of the elephants off the road, we saw an even more dramatic drop.”

In USA Today, Felds divulges that the remaining animals in the show currently will be provided with “suitable homes.”

Because of the ticket sales dwindling down and the costly price to operate the circus show, Feld mentions that it would create an “unsustainable business for the company.” Though will this leaves about 500 or so employees to be left without work, Feld commented that many of these employees will be transferred to the company’s other ongoing shows.

Featured-Photo_BTS-Photo-GalleryNewsday also reported that the last show that is on May 21 at 7pm at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is already completely sold out. In a Rut Caused by Leaky Gut

SpectracellGlutenHydraFor those of us who have become diagnosed with Celiac Disease or just even having a Gluten sensitivity, they are truly poor unfortunate souls. For those unaware, it is a very serious problem that a lot of people go through and have to live with. Though, the real sorrow is far worse for those college students who have to pay for a meal plan that they cannot even use because contamination is so high a risk.

Back in 2015, there was this article about a college student who has Celiac Disease. The girl mentioned in the story applied have her college meal plan removed.

According to Dear Gluten Dude: I’m Paying $5k for a College Meal Plan that I’m Not Using by Gluten Dude, “She was denied on the grounds that because she did not go into anaphylactic shock from gluten ingestion, they could not excuse her from the meal plan.”

So because gluten is not instantly life threatening, she has to pay for something that would slowly kill her body if ingested. It is not like a peanut allergy, which would more than likely cause an almost immediate death.

Gluten dude reports, “It will just kill her slowly by silently destroying her intestines where over 70% of her immune system lives; not to mention, her silent symptoms will seriously undermine her efforts to excel in her education.” So, the school’s logic to make her pay makes perfect sense, right? I mean it is not like she being discriminated or anything, right?

Gluten sensitivity or having Celiac Disease can cause not only her body to slowly die if continually ingested, even accidently, but it also has a bunch of incredibly shocking and terrible symptoms. According to 12 Shocking Symptoms of Gluten Sensitivity by Dana Trentini it “can affect processes in the body beyond the digestive tract.”

gluten-free-restaurant-cardContaminating a gluten sensitive person, even accidently and/or slightly, is very easy to do. They can show signs anywhere from a few seconds to few hours after eating the meal.

Research shows the connection of gluten with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Brain Fog, Autoimmune Diseases, Low Immunity, Dental Issues,Unexplained Weight Loss or Weight Gain, Migraine Headaches, Skin Problems, Hormonal Imbalance and Adrenal Fatigue, Joint and Muscle Aches, and Extreme Fatigue. Gluten is a slow, but deadly serious problem for anyone who has a gluten intolerance issue.

Potential Pancreatic Possibilities

PyFF2OWVAccording to Newsday, Long Island scientists found new clues in treating Pancreatic Cancer. This form of cancer has been hard to treat because of the compact encompassed tissues that are wrapped around the tumors. At Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, one team of scientist were able to discover the unidentified firm obstacle, as a stroma. This new knowledge opens up novel possibilities for Pancreatic Cancer therapies and treatments. This type of stroma is as strong as the armor would be on a knight, thus making it virtually impossible for the cancer killing drugs to enter.

“The stroma in pancreatic cancer has always been a poignant target for researchers because it has made treatment very difficult,” noted Dr. Abram Handly-Santana, a research specialist in Pancreatic Cancer at the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. This is not only a problem for scientists who are studying it but for the doctors trying treat patients as well.

“The stroma is not as well understood as many researchers thought it was,” remarked Handly-Santana. The scientists need to first study the stroma much more in-depth to learn more information, in order to properly treat this kind of cancer more efficiently.

Dr. Craig Devoe, acting chief of Hematology and Oncology at Northwell Health’s Monter Cancer Center in New Hyde Park confirms these facts. Devoe says that the stroma, not only prevents medication to be taken in but also increases the pressure that surrounds the tumor.

However, Devoe claims that “The biggest issue is that pancreas cancer has a high metastatic potential,” this means that a tumor can spread in it course very early on. Making it much more important to find more effective ways to discover how to battle pancreatic cancer and find this deadly disease much earlier on its path before it destroys the person’s body and their way of life.

Disney’s Pressure to Succeed

According to Fox News, the pressure is on for Disney’s new approaching live action version of timeless tale of “Beauty and the Beast.” It has not even been release in theatres and it is already a number one seller online with preorder tickets being sold.

The 2017 revised tale of “Beauty and the Beast” starring Emma Watson, who will be playing Belle, has everyone spellbound in anticipation of this new arrival. Emma Watson is famously known from the enhancing “Harry Potter” films as a bewitching brilliant beauty.

According to an older article from Newsday, Emma Watson, may also be looking forward to seeing her role in this magical romance fairytale on the big screens. Although, she might actually be in need of this film to be successful one, especially after backing out of the movie “La La Land,” which received an Oscar-nomination.

ComScore Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian told Fox News, “Coming off an insane year last year, the pressure may be how do you top, if you’re Disney, a run like they had in 2016?” Disney’s newer 2016 Animated movies, “Zootopia” and “Finding Dory” are doing exceptionally better compared to last Disney’s live action film, “The Jungle Book.”

The question is if there is all this pressure for the movie to succeed, then it would be inclined to believe that there will be some people who may be very disappointed at the film in the end, just because of all of the hype

Forbes contributor Scott Mendelson informed Fox News his concern that, “the expectations get so high that a merely excellent performance gets tagged as ‘disappointing’ in some way.” He also told Fox News that, “I do think the film has the potential to be one of the biggest movies of the year, but that doesn’t mean Disney should panic if it merely does ‘Maleficent’ numbers.”

The new Disney live action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” goes into theaters 17th of March 2017.
